Examples
BHP Billiton and Crestfern produced an e-learning resource and piloted it in industry. The focus of the research project undertaken was in the vocational area of mining and complex industries, to develop blended e-learning packages in the competencies of Working at Heights, Working in Confined space and SCBA/Longline. The package will deliver to the workers who engage in these work practices, access to a consistent process for recognition of their knowledge and skills. Additionally, the packages include refresher calculators that indicate when the workers need to refresh their knowledge and skills. This can be done utilising these e-learning processes.

Crestfern also developed a course on HSEC Contractor Management for use in one of their assets. This is a course that has been designed and pitched at a wide level of workers within the industry, and is designed to be very interactive so that participants can immediately apply the skills and knowledge learnt when back in the workplace.
